The Knights

The Knights tapestry is one of a series called The Quest of the Holy Grail designed in the 1890's by Morris & Co, inspired by Malory's famous poem Morte d'Arthur. The tapestry series was designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones, William Morris and John Henry Dearle between 1892 and 1895. This tapestry is a detail from The Departure of the Knights (also available now), the second in the series. This Morris & Co wall tapestry is woven in France by Jules Pansu in a top quality 95% cotton weave and is lined and with a rod pocket. The Knights tapestry is one half of the full tapestry The Departure of the Knights. You can also select the other half, The Ladies of Camelot, which forms a fine matching pair of tapestries.
