Secure Online Ordering
When you purchase tapestries from our store you will be prompted to provide information to complete a transaction. This includes address, telephone number, email address and credit card information. There are two ways in which we protect this information:
Encryption
This website uses strong encryption to ensure your information is protected when you send it to us across the internet. Using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and 256 bit encryption technology means that your information is, in any practical sense, uncrackable when in transit (see below for details). We use the latest technology and highest available means of security, as great as your bank uses for online banking transactions.
(SSL) Secure Sockets Layer is a protocol developed to transmit private documents via the Internet. It works by using a private key to encrypt data that's transferred over the SSL connection. Many modern browsers, such as Internet Explorer, support SSL and many web sites use the protocol to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers. Typically URL's that require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http.
No storage
Once a transaction is complete we do not store your credit card information. This means each time you visit the site and buy a product you will be prompted to key in your card details again. However this also means you don't have to worry about whether your details are safe with us, they are deleted on completion of the transaction.
Payment Methods
We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express. As noted above, these transactions are processed on a securely encrypted secure server using 256 bit technology as safe as online banking. Please note that on most purchases your credit card will not be charged until the day your order is shipped. In addition to credit cards, we also accept payment by wire transfer, certified cheque or bank draft - contact us if you prefer to use any of these methods and we will send you the necessary details. (To place an order and pay by wire transfer, certified cheque or bank draft, please complete the order process in the shopping cart using your credit card details - your card will NOT be charged).
Please Note: A) Prices are shown in US$ and are converted for our Canadian banking requirements. Credit card charges are then converted by customers’ banks at their prevailing rate and payment will appear as being made to “Classic Home Tapestries Inc”. Sales Taxes are not added on the invoice except to Canadian orders where local Federal and/or Provincial taxes are added where applicable. B) Local country VAT (Value Added Tax) and Duties may apply to international shipments.
Orders Shipping Info
We ship orders and tapestry products from inventory as soon as possible after you place your order, usually within 24 hours. Special orders may take longer so please call us or "contact us" in the contact section for additional information. All our tapestries and wall hangings are hand-finished and we ship from Rosemere (Montreal), Canada.
When we receive your order we will promptly email you to confirm availability and shipping.
Shipping costs
We ship worldwide with UPS Courier and we offer two shipping options, standard or express.
- Shipping to USA and Canada.
Standard shipping is FREE to USA and Canada.
Express shipping cost to USA and Canada depends on the total order value:

- $151 - $350 express shipping cost is............$30
- $351 - $650 express shipping cost is............$35
- $651 - $1,000 express shipping cost is..........$45
- $1,001 - $1,500 express shipping cost is.......$55
- $1,501 - $2,500 express shipping cost is.......$75
- Over $2,500 express shipping cost is.............$95
- Shipping to the rest of the world
Standard shipping to the rest of the world depends on the total order value.
Order value:
- up to $150 standard shipping cost is..............$30
- $151 - $650 standard shipping cost is............$45
- $651 - $1,500 standard shipping cost is.........$60
- Over $1,501 standard shipping cost is............$85
Express shipping for international destinations is available. Cost will vary depending on the value of your order. (Express shipping option cost will appear at checkout)
Insurance
Insurance is included with every order.
Duties and Taxes
No Sales Taxes are added except for deliveries within Canada where the appropriate Federal and/or Provincial sales tax rates apply. Sales taxes and customs duties may apply to orders shipped outside of Canada and depend entirely on the destination country's customs import rules and regulations.
Delivery
Approximate delivery is indicated below for in-stock items. Shipping times are from the date we ship an item, not the date of your order. Please keep in mind that unforeseen delays can occur, especially pre-Christmas, so you may prefer to request express service for a faster delivery. We use UPS Shipping Services worldwide and we keep you fully informed with tracking details on all shipments.
