The Minstrel tapestry - No Border

The Minstrel tapestry was designed by Morris & Co in 1899 for display above a fireplace. It shows a musician in a garden, a figure dressed in a long pink robe playing a lute in an alcove. Typical of Morris's work the background contains a great deal of detail with leaves and fruit trees. This version of this French-woven tapestry is without a border and it is lined with a rod pocket for easy of hanging.
