Woolworkers tapestry
Woolworkers tapestry is typical of 15th century French tapestries. The mille fleurs (thousand flowers) background was commonly used by medieval weavers in the Loire valley. We see carding and shearing in this pastoral scene. This medieval tapestry is now woven in France in two sizes, available with or without the deep blue border. It is lined and has a rod pocket for easy hanging - we provide tapestry hanging information with each order.
Please note that the above image shows the larger size which has a dark blue tapestry. The smaller size has a slightly lighter colour for the central tapestry although the border is unchanged.
