Pressing the Grapes
Pressing the Grapes tapestry - this is one half of the celebrated medieval Vintage scene from the Musée National du Moyen Age tapestries collection. It shows both pressing of the grapes by foot and pressing by screw to extract the juice. Combined with the Grapes Harvest tapestry they make a stunning pair of wall tapestries.
This Vintage tapestry is now finely woven in France in a rich full weave of wool and cotton and it is lined, with a rod pocket for easy hanging. With every order we supply instructions about hanging tapestries.
Here is this Pressing the Grapes wall tapestry hanging in Lisa's home in Pennsylvania and below it is her pair of Cluny Museum tapestries. (The light from a window creates varying exposure.)
