Fruit Tree, Apocalypse tapestry

The Fruit Tree wall tapestry is from The Apocalypse Tapestries commissioned by Louis I of Anjou in 1373. Woven by Nicolas Bataille they showed the Biblical end-times of the Book of Revelation. The six sections within the original tapestries were nearly 20 foot high with a total length of 430 foot. They were divided into 100 tapestries but only 70 remain in varying sizes. They are magnificently displayed in a long hall adjoining the chateau of Angers.
This tapestry is now woven in France by Jules Pansu in 95% cotton and it is lined with a rod pocket - we enclose tapestry hanging information with each order.
