Tentures des Indes Horse
The Tentures des Indes horse tapestry is from the "Tentures des Indes" series of 17th century tapestries showing scenes from the Dutch colonies. These eight tapestry wall-hangings were designed by Albert Eckhout and woven at Les Gobelins tapestry workshops in Paris. Their exotic scenes showed the flora, fauna and the natives of newly discovered lands.
Now woven in France in a fine wool and cotton weave, each tapestry is lined and has a rod pocket for easy hanging. We supply instructions for the care and hanging of tapestries with each order.
