Birth of Venus tapestry

The Birth of Venus tapestry is from the 1486 Sandro Botticelli painting commissioned by the Medici family which now hangs in the wonderful Uffizi Gallery, Florence (my favourite art gallery!) It shows the goddess Venus rising out of the sea on a shell, blown to the shore by the winds. This tapestry comes in two sizes: 25"x36" and 39"x55". Choose yours!

The tapestry is woven in Italy from cotton and viscose. It is lined, with a rod pocket for hanging (we enclose instructions for this with each order).
