La Primavera

This beautiful tapestry was created from the painting done by Sandro Botticelli in 1482.  It represents the birth of spring and is depicted by a group of mythological figures with the centre figure showing with child. Thus perhaps an allegorical of the lush growth of Spring.  It is finely woven in Italy in 100% cotton.
