Mandolin tapestry
The Mandolin tapestry was woven at Beauvais, one of the great centres of French tapestry weaving, in the 19th century. Its rich classical appearance is warm and softly pleasing (my wife and I had the middle of the three sizes of this wall tapestry hanging in our sitting room for many years). It is now finely woven in France in a rich weave of wool and cotton with fine detailing and it is lined with a rod pocket for easy hanging. We supply instructions for the care and hanging of tapestries with each order.
