French Garden tapestry, right side

French Garden tapestry, right side

The French Garden tapestry, right side shows 18th century leisurely aristocrats during the reign of Louis XV. This scene of art, music and dance is inspired by the paintings of Francois Boucher who was Court Painter to the king. He influentually expressed the tastes of this era in his art. Dressed in the pink made fashionable by the king's mistress, Madame de Pompadour, the noble couples spend their days elegantly.

As well as this elegant scene we have wall-hangings of the full scene and of the left sides. These 18th century tapestries are woven in France today in 100% cotton and are lined, with a rod pocket. We supply hanging information with each order.
