Bullerswood throw

The Bullerswood throw is an adaptation of a famous carpet design by William Morris. He designed it in 1889 and it was woven by Morris & Co in cotton and jute with a wool pile. The original 17' x 13' carpet was commissioned for Bullerswood House in Kent. Then it disappeared, being discovered in 2001 in the Australian outback.
Our French throw has a less dramatic tale but it has a pleasing soft weave which could be used also as a decorative table covering. Here is one of the Bullerswood throw back in Australia in a photo sent to us by Keith in Sydney:-
