Adoration tapestry - religious tapestries

L'Adorazione dei Magi, The Adoration of the Magi - this beautiful Belgian tapestry is based on the art work of Gentile da Fabria (1370-1427) painted throughout Italy before settling in Rome in 1419. Only a few of his large religious paintings created during this period survived. Under the patronage of Palla Strozzi in Florence, Gentile painted many great works, including an altarpiece for the Church of the Holy Trinity that illustrated the Adoration of the Magi. This piece is considered to be Gentile Da Fabriano's greatest work and representative of the Italian Renaissance. This Belgian tapestry is woven today in 50% cotton, 19% wool and 23% trevira and it is lined and has a rod pocket for ease of hanging. It is also available as a fuller horizontal tapestry. Adoration of the Magi - The Tapestry House - Jacquard Woven Tapestries
