The Minstrel tapestry was designed by Morris & Co in 1899. It shows a musician in a garden, a figure dressed in a long pink robe playing a lute in an alcove. Typical of Morris's work the background contains a great deal of detail, and is made up of leaves and fruit trees.It is also available without the border.
This tapestry is woven in France in 80% cotton and 20% viscose. It is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging - we provide tapestry hanging information with each order.
