The Triumph of Flora is now a magnificent Belgian tapestry, designed by Francois Boucher. As Director of the royal workshops at Beauvais Francois Boucher (1703-70) he produced many designs of Louis XV tapestries. The most famous series were the Noble Pastorale tapestries of 1755. These designs are recognisable for the idyllic romantic scenes in country settings, combining the classical and the pastoral.

The Belgian weavers use a thicker yarn which is tightly woven creating fullness and depth yet with fine detailing. We admire this a great deal and consider it to be the finest of the Francois Boucher wall tapestries. It is fully lined with a rod pocket - we enclose suggestions about how to hang a tapestry with every order. Please note that this tapestry is non-returnable.
