Le Mirage

Le Mirage tapestry is inspired by the famous Tentures des Indes set of eight tapestries woven at the Les Gobelins in Paris during the 17th century. The original artwork was designed by Albert Echhout and depicts the exotic flora, fauna and natives of the Dutch colonies. These tapestries met great success and were woven all through the 18th century. Our French tapestry wallhanging is finely woven in wool and cotton and it is lined and has a rod pocklet for easy hanging.
