The lily garden

This tapestry is one of a collection of wall-hangings by Beijing artist Vail Oxley. Known for his tranquil scenes and country settings, Oxley draws his inspiration from the spectacular countryside around Beijing. This piece depicts a lily pond and features statues, urns and floral blossoms. Like much of his work it captures a moment in time, and shows his skill in creating realistic yet idealistic images that invite the viewer to look closer. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging .
