La tour d'eiffel

This piece depicts an image of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, by contemporary artist Cristin Atria. Typical of her work it uses black and white photography as the starting point, with oils layered over this to create depth and texture. This accounts for the otherworldly, almost sepia-like, effect seen in the piece above, with the artist retaining the precision that comes from using photographs as the starting point. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging.
