Mona Lisa

A reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's (1452 - 1519) most famous work, the Mona Lisa. Most famous for her enigmatic smile, the work also exhibits da Vinci's skill in sfumato, the technique of the background disappearing into misty atmosphere. It is believed the piece was commissioned by Florentine nobleman Francesco di Bartolommeo di Zanobi del Giocondo, and is a portrait of his third wife, Lisa di Antonio Maria di Noldo Gherardini. The original can be seen in the Louvre, Paris. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging.
