Summer flower basket

The Summer Flowers tapestry, woven in France, shows a traditional floral bouquet caught in the summer sun. The original tapestry dates from the early 17th century. Typical of still life floral art of this time it creates a lavish effect through the use of strong and vibrant colors, offset against a largely neutral background. The effect is enhanced with the formidable attention to detail; the texture of the petals and leaves, the cherubs on the ornate vase, and the decorative elements around its base. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging.
