Terrace tapestry

The Terrace tapestry is an Italian tapestry woven in Italy in the Lake Como region, centre of the best silk and textile weaving. It is set in the late 18th century and features gardens of the Villa d'Este at Cernobbio originally built in 1568 as a summer residence for a cardinal. For over the past 100 years it has been an exclusive hotel, still set in the majestic lake-side grounds. These include Renaissance arches, a temple, ruins, statues and fountains.
