This tapestry is one of a series designed by François Boucher (1703 - 1770). Typical of his expression of the Rococo style the piece captures an idyllic scene, two lovers lost in an embrace, with the rich detail surrounding the scene so typical of the artist's work. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging.
