This
tapestry depicts a detail from the Bayeux Tapestry created in the 11th century which retraces the history of the conquest of England by William the Conqueror in 1066. In this scene we see Harold and his boat at the top of the
tapestry and Harold and his men at the bottom. The original Bayeux tapestry is today on view at the Tapisserie De Bayeux Museum in France. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging.
