This tapestry is based on artwork by the renowned fourteenth century Italian painter, Barnaba da Modena(1330-1386). Barnaba da Modena's most famous works include The Coronation of the Virgin, The Trinity, Virgin and Child, and The Crucifixion. His works contain elements of both the Byzantine tradition of Venice and the Sienese School and have an amazing enamel-like brilliance of colour. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hangings.
