An excerpt from the Bayeux tapestry, the 230ft long epic dating from the 11th century. It depicts the events known collectively as the Norman Conquest, which culminated in the Battle of Hastings of 1066. This scene depicts King Harold visiting Count Guy. We can also see Harold's men preparing for their sea voyage, and enjoying mass and a meal. This tapestry is lined and has a tunnel for ease of hanging.
